New Jersey-based business makes Inc. 5000 list for the fifth time in its 20-year history PARSIPPANY, N.J. (August 17, 2016) — Office refreshment provider, Corporate Essentials has been named to Inc. Magazine’s annual Inc. 5000 list of the United States’ fastest-growing companies for the second-straight year and the fifth time overall, coming in at #3,568 on their 2016 list.

The Inc. 5000 list is published annually, and it ranks the nation’s fastest-growing, privately held companies. Corporate Essentials first made the list in 2007, and most recently in 2015 coming in at #4,900 and #3,878 respectively.

“Making the (Inc. 5000) list for the fifth time is quite an accomplishment,” said Judson Kleinman, President of Corporate Essentials. “It’s truly a testament to having a great team of passionate people, all committed to being the best.”

When Corporate Essentials first made the list in 2007, it was a company of approximately 20 people; at the time this year’s rankings were released, there were more than 80 full-time employees at the New Jersey-based business.

“We’ve built a business around helping companies attract and retain the top talent in their respective industries,” said Kleinman. “It’s been a lot of fun over the past few years to use many of those same strategies to bring and keep new team members here (at Corporate Essentials).”

The company focuses on the idea of fueling company culture, allowing employees to ‘work happy.’ In order to accomplish this, they develop and implement office refreshment programs focused on products that refresh (cold drinks), refuel (healthy snacks) and recharge (great coffee). This concept, along with its full-service refreshment offering, helped it land on this year’s Inc. list.

“Even before making last year’s list, we started to focus on a long-term, organic growth strategy,” said Kleinman. “One of the key things we did this year was to establish our list of ten core values.”

Focusing on best-selling author Simon Sinek’s philosophy of ‘Starting with Why,’ and the Zappos philosophy on company culture made famous by its founder Tony Hsieh, the company’s list contains values such as ‘Be humble, stay hungry,’ ‘Generate excitement, happiness and fun,’ and ‘Do what’s right.’

In addition to planning for long term growth, Corporate Essentials has also expanded its network of similar companies throughout the country to give them the ability to serve clients in other markets. In 2016, they added Denver, Miami and Philadelphia to their list of out-of-state partners that already include services in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago, Dallas and Portland, among others.

“Partnering with like-minded companies throughout the country has allowed us to take on accounts with a national presence, which in the past we would have to walk away from,” said Kleinman. “It has also let us see how other operators throughout the country do business, and in many cases, made us a better company.”

In addition to being a part of Inc. Magazine’s list in 2016, 2015 and 2007, Corporate Essentials was also recognized as one of the country’s fastest-growing companies in 2011 and 2012.
